We are working with Juniors & Seniors on our Map reading skills. We started with a map of Realtai classroom then we moved on to the playground and next week we will use a map of the school grounds. We learned the golden rule of map work ‘You can turn the map but you can’t turn the world’

We were learning all about winter and read some lovely stories. Owl babies was one of our favourite stories this month. We made some winter houses and used shapes to make them as it was our topic in maths. We were very busy getting ready for the toyshow and baked some yummy cookies 🧸 We even guessed what Patrick Kiety Jumper might look like.

Tipperary Town Firefighters came to school to give a talk about fire awareness. We were asked to go home and check our smoke alarms are working. Told to stop, drop and roll and not remove clothing if your clothes caught on fire and run cold water over the area. We enjoyed listening to the talk with Junior and Senior Infants.
