5th & 6th Class

Ms. Hartigan is working her magic with 5th and 6th class again this year, with a busy group of 26 pupils plus some of the boys from Íontas class joining in. Ms. Hurley is also on hand to support and ensure that each child is reaching their full potential in their final stretch of Primary School.

Every child in 5th and 6th has been busy using papier mache to create a snowman, a messy business but worth the time and patience it needs to make it.

Fun with Fractions Fifth and sixth have been learning to categorise fractions, find equivalents, simplify and change mixed to improper and vice versa.

We had great fun experimenting with clay. We are really enjoying learning about the Stone Age period in Irish history. So we imagined we were children in Neolithic Ireland, tasked with making pots while parents were hunting or taking care of animals.
