Gaelic Games

Gaelic games classes take place weekly for 1st to 6th facilitated by Emly Born a nÓg. (September to October and February to June) Séanie and Declan deliver excellent skills, drills and team matches. Our school participates in the South Limerick Camogie, Ladies football, hurling and football competitions and regularly train under the watchful eye of Ms Lynch, Mr O’Halloran and Mr Hennessy.

Cross Country

Each September all pupils from 3rd to 6th Classes train and participate in the county Cross Country championship held in Thurles on the first Wednesday of October.

Fit Kids

Our own David Byrne works with our students on the fit kids programme, a great hit every year and really looked forward to by all.

Tag Rugby

Kevin Leamy ( Munster RFU) coaches the children from Third to Sixth Class in tag rugby every year.

Swimming

Children from 3rd to 6th Classes participate in Swimming lessons in UL for 8 weeks annually.

Local amentities

We are very fortunate that within walking distance of our school we have some amazing sports amenities. These include Emly Lawn Tennis Club’s courts as well as Emly GAA’s pitch and AstroTurf pitch.
