Cooking in January
We have been busy working on the story of “3”. We have been doing a lot of oral language work on “The Three Billy Goat Gruff.” We really enjoyed listening to the story. We decided to make our own Billy Goat 🐐 Gruffs using cardboard tubes and cotton balls.
As part of our Jolly Phonic sound of the week “g” we have been busy investigating “g” words. “ goat 🐐, green troll, gruff, garden, grass, gloves to name a few ….”The story of three in maths links in very nicely with our oral language work on “The three Billy Goat...
Spraoí class busy with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). We decided we would make a bridge for the Three Billy Goat Gruffs to cross. We discussed that the bridge needed to be tall enough for the Troll to sit under, wide enough and strong enough for the Troll and the goats 🐐 to cross. Some of us even decided we needed blue paper for the water, brown paper on one side of the bridge to show all the grass that had been eaten and green paper on the other side to show why goats wanted to cross over the bridge to eat the “lush green grass.”
Really fun hands on approach from everyone today. Super imagination and creativity. 👏🏻🌟
